be the missing ingredient

Do you have childhood memories of being in the kitchen with a parent or grandparent? Most of the underserved children we mentor in our cooking programs aren’t fortunate enough to have these kitchen memories or favorite family recipes passed down through generations. Preparing a meal is often a skill learned as children growing up. However, with the evolving nature of family structures, and the growing number of households in poverty, family meals made with love are something most of us take for granted.
Our fundraising efforts allow us the capacity to expand this unique cooking experience to more children in Mobile and Baldwin county Title 1 schools. In 2025, generous donations from supporters like your allowed us to lead in the preparation of 6,817 snacks and meals with 2,367 students in South Alabama. As the only nonprofit in Alabama with this innovative curriculum offering hands on culinary learning, the demand for our programs is greater than the resources we have access to. You can be the missing ingredient even if you can't give, you can share!
